Christmas Special
Outstanding Contribution To The Travel Industry
The advisory panel would like to recognise the following person as being the Outstanding Contribution to the Travel Industry this year:
Lisa Minot
Lisa Minot has worked at The Sun for 35 years, having joined the newspaper as a sub-editor in 1991. She has served as the paper’s full-time travel editor and Head of Travel since 1999. That longevity has seen her build meaningful relationships with many people all across the travel industry and is seen as a voice for the industry by many major broadcast channels. She could easily be on a shortlist for any of these awards, and she has supported them as an advisor since their inception in 2023.

Christmas Number One
Outstanding Contribution To Travel Media
The advisory panel would like to recognise the following person as being the Outstanding Contribution to Travel Media this year:
Heather Lowrie
Heather Lowrie has worked at The Scottish Sun since 1997, and has been the Travel Editor since 2012. In January 2027, after 30 years at the publication, she will be retiring, so we feel this is a good time to reward a journalist who has built up fantastic relationships with travel PRs and media, despite being based in Glasgow and not having the ability to attend many London events. She is warm, generous and a good friend to many. We will miss you Heather!
